Producer, Dateline Audio (PEP)
Responsibilities
• Play a key role in writing, planning and producing new episodes of original Dateline podcast content
• Edit episodes using Descript and Pro Tools
• Anticipate audio problems and production blockages and work actively with the team to solve
• Set and manage production schedule
• Lead internal editorial review process and communicate with senior editorial to address notes
• Liaise with marketing to provide promo assets
• Delegate tasks to and collaborate with Associate Producer to keep projects moving
Qualifications
Skills/Requirements
• At least 5 years podcast experience at the AP or producer level
• Demonstrated experience editing and producing two-ways
• Ability to manage multiple shows in multiple phases of production simultaneously
• Knowledge of audio file types and methods of capture in-studio, in the field and remotely
• Fluency with both Descript and Pro Tools software
• Experience with Riverside.fm is a plus
• Experience scoring episodes using pre-existing music libraries is a plus
• Video editing experience a plus
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
