The Boston stations of NBC and Telemundo are looking for a team player to join us as a Programming/News Photographer/Editor. In this role, you will be responsible for shooting and editing stories, including features, documentaries, and live remotes. The Photographer/Editor is responsible for strategic conceptualization, stylized shooting, and specialized editing for content across all platforms. Reporting to the Vice President of Programming, the ideal candidate will help execute innovative storytelling in both short and long form formats.
Responsibilities
• Through the creative use of the camera, and proficient lighting and editing skills, will provide the viewer with a story on a given topic.
• Will operate ENG camera, live truck, and edit on Adobe Premiere edit systems as well as proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
• Develops appropriate shooting and editing styles based on the content and platform
• Participates in station-sponsored events and projects
• Manages and properly maintains all production equipment
• Troubleshoots technical problems and solutions
• Collaborates with News photographers on equipment needs
• Ability to work occasional weeknights or weekends
• Work with Sales team and clients to execute high quality integrations and commercial productions
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements :
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in news or programming field production
• A minimum of 3 years' experience working with Adobe Premiere
• Knowledge of other editing software such as Final Cut Pro a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience and knowledge of live remote capabilities in a Broadcast station.
• Minimum 3 years of experience editing stories.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Bi-Lingual: Spanish and English

• Physical requirements required to perform medium/heavy physical work which includes:
~Lifting and carrying camera equipment ranging from 15 lbs. to 30 lbs. (in camera weight) for extended periods of time to shoot on remote locations.
• Must be willing to work weekends.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have the ability to work any of a 24 x 7 shift.
• Must be 18 years or greater.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must accept Solutions as NBCUniversal's Alternative Dispute Resolution program.
