NBC Universal Owned Television Stations is the division of NBCUniversal that includes 11 local NBC television stations, 28 local Telemundo stations, 5 Regional Sports Networks and their digital channels and websites, as well as a group of out-of-home properties and a production company. The stations produce and deliver compelling and unique local news, information and entertainment programming to viewers in the communities they serve, which include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Dallas-Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., Miami, San Diego and Connecticut, with a goal of connecting to their audiences anytime and anywhere.

NBCUniversal Chicago is looking for a producer to join the Multi-Platform Content Department. Candidate will be embedded with a small team of content creators serving the Chicago triopoly across all platforms; Linear, OTT, FAST, digital and audio. The department is committed to creating and disseminating premium content that serve the needs of our viewers / communities from an editorial perspective but also, at times, servicing partners through an integrated sales lens.

Ideal candidate must have strong ability to enterprise their own stories, both long and short form. Candidate must also be able to lead small projects on their own and join larger projects and take direction from the department head.

Qualifications

• Professional level of editing in Adobe Premiere
• Knowledge of DSLR Cameras
• At least 2-4 years of producing broadcast content
• Candidate must understand project scope and be able to understand a creative brief, take the ball and run with projects on their own
• Experience working with external clients on integrated content and working internally with sales org to achieve client goals

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Chicago and its suburbs and the issues that matter to our viewership across the NBCU Chicago triopoly
• Ability to integrate new technologies / A.I. into existing workflows
