Responsibilities
NBCUniversal is seeking a Media and Instructional Design Manager who is passionate about creating remarkable and engaging design program that also powerfully communicate and solve business challenges. This will involve collaborating with internal and external partners and utilizing excellent leadership and organizational skills to build and implement impactful presentations, reporting products, and training curriculum. Reporting to the Manager, Physical Security Programs, this role will support Global Security Operations, an organization within NBCUniversal's Operations & Technology division that provides a full suite of security, investigative, and intelligence services aligned to safeguard our people, property, and reputation.
Job Duties:
• Assess the audience's training needs and create detailed layouts based on clear learning objectives
• Support the growing training needs for Global Security Operations and its risk management initiative by creating compelling and effective course content and activities that is focused on skill building
• Oversee implementation of in-person and remote training sessions with stakeholders, including conducting assessments and knowledge checks and evaluating training effectiveness
• Continually maintain project documentation, reporting, and course folders to reflect changes to policy, programs, and best practices
• Evaluate and develop other communications, reporting, and training across a variety of mediums (including audio, video, exercises, websites, print, and other digital formats) for a variety of audiences (including senior leadership and the entire employee base) and topics (including policy, continuous improvement, security technology, internal onboarding, etc.)
• Apply trends and best practices in learning technologies, instructional design, and overall media design
• Help establish and manage internal data visualization standards, toolkits, and resources

• Is able to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts

• Is understanding of varied learning styles
• Is experienced in utilizing data, graphs, and visualizations to enhance the impact on the audience
• Is an excellent communicator and presenter, especially for many subjects and audiences
• Is able to develop various creative concepts and can integrate feedback quickly
• Thrives under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Can easily switch gears from project to project and juggle many diverse projects at a time

Qualifications
/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Master's degree strongly preferred but not required. Preferred concentrations include Learning Design and Technology, Instructional Design, Training and Development, or Communications
• 5 years of relevant experience (Media and Instructional Design)
• Expert knowledge of industry standard design software (Storyline; PowerPoint; and Adobe Creative Suite- Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Captivate, Dreamweaver)
• Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
