Responsibilities
• Responsible for the strategic Office & Space Planning functions for NBCUniversal's West Coast Studio Operations including approximately 3.5 million square feet of office space.
• Works seamlessly with colleagues across Studio Operations including Design & Construction, Facility Operations & Engineering, Corporate Services, EHS, Finance, HR, Legal, Clients, Production companies and others.
• Leads, supports and mentors staff which plan and implement office and space management strategies and tools including office and seating allocations, space optimization strategies, furniture reconfigurations, small and large moves, parking and EV charging points, CAFM systems and reporting, and other like functions.
• Develops space planning tools, processes and solutions which support near and long-term occupancy strategies and maximize the utilization of NBCU's facility assets.
• Creates safe, effective, efficient, sustainable and cost-effective workplace environments which support and enable NBCU's employee engagement, fiscal and operational objectives.
• Works collaboratively with all NBCU clients, business units and leaders, employees, vendors, and stakeholders to solve for a broad range of unique needs.
• Helps to construct master plans and road maps which solve for core occupancy needs over time along with ancillary functions such as parking and infrastructure.
• Builds and manages space planning tools and reports which collect occupancy data, forecasts needs, performance metrics, enables occupancy scenario planning and the most efficient deployment of workspace possible.
• Responsible for office adds, moves and changes, including furniture planning and reconfiguration, inclusive of NBCUniversal's furniture warehouse functions.
• Leads Mail Services including mail, shipping and freight, including the full team supporting this key support function.
• Specifically this leader will;
• Create safe, effective, efficient, and sustainable tools and solutions across their primary responsibilities for all NBCU West Coast sites.
• Provide regular updates and detailed status reports
• Forecast and manage occupancy statistics and metrics for all sites.\
• Develop and maintain master space plans for all sites, tied to growth projections and business requirements.
• I nsures all workspace meets or exceeds all applicable building codes and accessibility requirements.
• Maintains documentation for all workspace records.
• Manages Staff - provides guidance, training, and motivation to staff. Hire, promote, terminate and counsel staff. Establishes department goals and ensures staff meets productivity and quality standards.

25%Client and leadership engagement, coordination, and presentations including requirements gathering, project and capital prioritization, communicating vision and long term strategies, and how immediate projects and ‘asks' support long term goals and objectives. 20%Meeting with staff, vendors, authorities, stakeholders, project meetings, and job walks.20%Developing and coaching staff15%Building thoughtful reporting and presentations which demonstrate results and earn executive buy-in and alignment around near and long term projects and initiatives.20%Creating and implementing standards, policies, best practices, and SOPs.

• Able to create tools and processes which elevate team effectiveness, consistency and the client experience.
• Able to organize, prioritize and execute numerous complex projects in parallel.
• Strong base knowledge of building systems and general facility operations and how they influence requirements of space planning.
• Experience working with CAFM system tools and functions
• Strong design acumen able to build inspiring environments in cost effective manners.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 10-15 years of experience leading complex office service functions in a relevant industry.
• Experience with CAFM related systems such as Archibus.
• Technical aspects of facilities management including MEP infrastructure, data cabling, office interiors and general operations.
• 4 year college degree in a related field is required.
• Master's degree or advance industry certifications are desirable.
• Effective communicator, able to influence, read their audience, be agile.
• Strong contracting experience and ability to identify and negotiate complex terms and language in construction and vendor contracts.
• Ability to navigate through very complex situations and personalities.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Excel.
