The Director, Platform Distribution & Partnerships will report to the Vice President Platform Distribution & Partnerships and play a key role in managing NBCUniversal’s MVPD and FAST distribution relationships for Peacock, NBC, Telemundo and NBCU FAST channels. This role will negotiate distribution agreements and oversee day-to-day partner management, lead strategic initiatives with partners, and support implementation of agreements with partners. The Director will serve as a strategic and operational liaison across multiple internal teams - including Marketing, Product, Technology, Legal, Finance, Decision Sciences, Ad Sales, Communications and Operations – to drive execution, maximize partner performance, and deliver on critical business objectives.
Responsibilities
• Manage and grow strategic relationships with partners, leading day-to-day operations and long-term partnership health.
• Support negotiations of distribution agreements and deal strategy.
• Develop and execute partner-specific strategies to drive subscriber acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth.
• Lead cross-functional implementation of commercial terms and partnership initiatives, collaborating closely with internal teams across the NBCU ecosystem.
• Serve as a key point of contact for platform partners, aligning on mutual goals, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring seamless execution.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and contract commitments, and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
• Prepare materials and lead Partner Business Reviews, surfacing key insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Act as a subject matter expert by developing a strong understanding of partner business models, competitive dynamics, and platform capabilities.
• Supervise and mentor a direct report, fostering growth and developing key skillsets aligned with team and organizational priorities.
Qualifications
• 6 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or digital media distribution within the television, film, or streaming industry.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading distribution deal negotiations and managing high-value partner relationships.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.
• Proficient analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Strong ability to identify partnership opportunities and navigate deal structures that support both strategic and financial goals.
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Highly organized with excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
Desired Characteristics
• MBA preferred but not required.
• Deep understanding of the media landscape, distribution platforms, and emerging technology trends.
• Passion for the media and entertainment industry and familiarity with NBCUniversal’s content and distribution businesses.

Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends during key deals with short notice.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
