Director, People Experience, UTEG
The Director of People Experience will develop and execute unique and inclusive experiences for our colleagues across the Universal Television Entertainment Group in various office locations. Through internal communications, engagement programming, advocacy and recognition, this role will be responsible for delivering experiences and information that cultivate pride, community and connectivity across our workforce, while providing support to help employees thrive within the organization. Reporting to the SVP of People Experience, this role will be a key member of the People Experience team that strives to foster a positive and meaningful work experience for all UTEG employees throughout each stage of the employee lifecycle.
This role, in partnership with Human Resources and Communications, will also assist business leaders with key communication messaging ensuring that teams are well-informed, engaged and connected to the goals and objectives of the organization, as well as critical change management support.
The candidate must have experience in internal communications, either in-house or agency, a track record of executing successful employee experience strategies, and work effectively with senior executives. Ideal candidate will be a creative, motivated self-starter with incredible attention to detail, a team-focused attitude, a solutions-oriented approach and able to multi-task varying priorities.
Essential Responsibilities
• Executes people experience strategy for UTEG based on understanding employee and business needs, staying abreast of workplace trends and advocating for a meaningful work experience.
• Implements creative ways to engage and support the employee base, working closely with Communications and HR on programs and activities that matter most to the employee culture, while driving overall business performance.
• Creates detailed plans to effectively execute programs and initiatives, working closely with key partners to ensure relevance and customization as necessary.
• Utilizes data and feedback to determine strategies that will elevate the workplace experience and ensure we are supporting employees in the best manner, while also using the data to help influence stakeholders on criticality and value to the organization.
• Writes company-wide communications to employees, as necessary, as well as develops original content for all communication channels that celebrates, recognizes and raises awareness to individuals and teams across the organization, as well as educate and inform employees regarding useful resources.
• Partners closely with the Media Group counterpart to enable alignment, as necessary, and collaboration and/or inclusivity.
• Maintains UTEG People Experience calendar with internal meetings and other company events and liaises with executives on event participation.
• Works on special projects as necessary with SVP, People Experience and Sr. Director, People Experience, Entertainment & Studios.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 7 years of experience in communications and/or HR function
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required
• Must have solid project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and meet numerous deadlines, while also being nimble to pivot as necessary.
• Must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and a variety of stakeholders

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Universal City, CA office a minimum of three days per week.
