This is a Full Time Job
This is a great opportunity to join the flagship duopoly station of NBCUniversal's Owned Stations group, WNBC in New York and Telemundo WNJU, leading the stations' digital, social and mobile media strategies.
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to work closely with our news directors and to lead the production of digital and video content for all platforms including, but not limited to FAST, digital, linear, and social media platforms. You'll direct a staff of digital/linear professionals, reporting to the SVP, News.
Responsibilities:
• Manages the day-to-day digital production and all digital and audio opportunities for the duopoly. Programs content for multiple platforms.
• Oversees digital production and all digital and audio opportunities. Fills in for producing digital content in the absence of digital news producers.
• Oversees the streaming (or FAST Channel) for all news coverage including breaking news, scheduled programs and unique content.
• Works with directors and operations to come up with multiple ways to produce and executive live programming.
• Develops ideas for programs and features that the stations could produce.
• Actively partner with the news directors and marketing directors to create three-screen synergy (TV, digital, mobile) around station content and campaigns.
• Lead our content teams to develop workflows that deliver our content 24/7 across current and future platforms with storytelling that is optimized for each screen.
• Lead the content team in identifying new content types and innovative technologies that help us reach and serve new audiences.
• Promote inclusive journalism on all platforms.
• Analyze and actively use data and metrics to make informed editorial and strategic decisions and to create accountability for results.
• Be a resource for Sales in its content generation and digital sponsorship efforts for our lifestyle shows, New York Live and Acceso Total.
• Support and collaborate with Creative Services and Community Relations.
• Teach, coach and hire. Mentor content teams in best practices for writing and producing content for digital and social platforms.
• Hold newsroom employees accountable to ethical and editorial standards.
• Salary Range - 125k-175k/annually
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Digital TV News and content development and production.
• Previous EP or line producing experience
• Must be 18 years or greater.

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
Desired Characteristics
