Director, Marketing - One Platform Marketing
Responsibilities

Our marketing and creative solutions span from local to global networks and platforms within the Broadcast, Lifestyle, News, Sports, Hispanic, Local, Syndication, Peacock, Strategic Partnerships, Universal Pictures, Parks, Comcast and Sky Media.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Vice President, One Platform Marketing and will have a minimum of one direct report. You will contribute to the development and implementation of full funnel marketing strategies and creative solutions for brand partners in the Personal Care category. These solutions will be informed by Consumer, Cultural, Category and Client insights, leveraging the Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Sky Media portfolio of local to global properties, products, and strategic partners on the One Platform Creative and Development [OPCD] teams: multi-network, multi-genre (sports, entertainment, lifestyle, Hispanic, syndication), scripted, reality, and multi-platform initiatives.
In this role you will have the opportunity to develop tactical skills navigating portfolio solutions, as well as develop leadership / professional development soft skills for future growth and leadership across the One Platform Marketing team. We embody the NBCU philosophy Here You Can.
• Delivering Full Funnel Marketing Solutions for Client Marketing Programs:
• Partner with NBCU sales, planning, category strategy, insights & measurement teams to define the marketing strategy for RFPs . Develop and communicate ideas that leverage NBCU platforms (linear, digital, mobile, social, VOD, audio, etc.) both strategically and creatively, to drive consumer impact and engagement, and deliver on advertiser KPIs. Work across cross-functional teams to identify, prevent and remove roadblocks to success during ideation, vetting and execution phases of marketing programs to create portfolio solutions.
• Pre-sale Process: Attend and often lead media/marketing calls with brand advertisers and/or agencies to identify client needs, lead internal briefing sessions of cross-disciplinary teams, and develop response proposals ensuring content ideas are purposeful, on-brand, and on-strategy. Diagnose Client-Specific RFPs & Brainstorms: partner with sales and network partners to formulate and drive marketable sales strategies that are customized to fit specific client objectives.
• Post-sale Process: Ensure flawless execution to drive continued leadership position in marketplace and increased client renewal. Serve as a centralized point of contact for sales team, advertiser partners collaborating with internal stakeholders ensuring that all are consistently informed and adhering to the terms of the deal
• Building Proactive Solutions:
• Partner cross-functionally to develop strategically led, purposeful and inclusionary creative ideas and campaign program constructs that combine the power of the NBC Universal portfolio assets into sellable packages for advertisers. We focus on full funnel business outcomes and are informed by Client, Category, Consumer and Cultural insights.
• Collaborate with network and product partners to ensure that big ideas leverage NBCU's premium content, talent and platforms for maximum marketplace impact and advertiser relevance and appeal.
• Coaching and Mentoring:
• Provide honest, helpful feedback and coaching that helps peers and junior team members develop and motivates them to excel
• Proactively identifies and attracts individuals with the critical capabilities needed by the organization
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• 8 years of experience in the marketing space preferred (Ad Sales, Media or Creative agency, Client side)
• Personal Care & Consumer Packaged Goods category experience strongly recommended; Travel, Telecomm and Toys experience a plus
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Candidates ideally will have a full-bodied background working with planning agencies, brand advertisers, in TV and digital while providing category-specific knowledge and experience to develop holistic solutions that generate revenue and ROI for brands
