Job Description
• Own guest arrangements and small event coordination
• Oversee invitation and guest lists for NBCU Government Affairs events; act as point of contact for responses and any event questions
• Develop biographies and background information to brief executives prior to meetings
• Assist with studio tours and ticket requests
• Coordinate set visits and tours
• Manage day-to-day office operations and general department administration
• Provide administrative support to the department
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements
• Maintain and update email database of elected officials across the US
• Prepare mailings to elected officials
• Create and edit distribution lists, correspondence, reports, and presentations
• Assist with team projects and research, as needed
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desired Characteristics
• Previous experience as an administrative assistant in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple people with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience as a team player, with ability to develop and maintain good working relationships across the company
• Professional presence â€'' including a professional manner over the phone, in writing, and in person â€'' with the ability to interface with senior executives
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Superior organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask
• Ability to learn new computer programs and systems with ease
Additional Requirements
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
• This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
