Responsibilities
Communications Manager, NBCU Telemundo Enterprises, will support day-to-day corporate media relations at NBCU Telemundo for the leadership team, select network campaigns, major news announcements and special events. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter and excellent problem solver with the ability to multitask on external communications and multiplatform PR opportunities for the network. The candidate should also have excellent writing skills and an understanding of the media landscape to lead varied projects including drafting press releases; pitching stories and interviews; and generating briefing notes, clip reports, award submissions, and Q&As, and providing ad-hoc support across other corporate communications functions.
Job Duties
• In close partnership with Director, help to develop and assist with high-impact media relations strategy to build the profile, strategy and reputation of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises to US audiences, with particular support of senior executives
• Play a key role in building executive profiles and positioning the network
• Assist in the research of media outlets, reporters, editorial calendars and special issues to identify coverage opportunities
• Support day-to-day media relations and assist with media inquiry requests across trade, business and digital
• Serve as corporate PR liaison as necessary across the network and sister companies with news, entertainment, sports programming
• Foster strong contacts with print, digital, national, and trade media
• Research and monitor news clips as requested on industry news, trends and competitive environment
• Coordinate media interviews and requested assets (photos, broll) and liaise with entertainment, sports and news PR colleagues as needed
• Generate press materials, including press releases, bios, talking points, and pitches
• Maintain and update media lists, press contacts and email distribution lists as well as send out press releases using both Cision and PR Newswire
• Work closely with other US and international Corporate Communications and other NBCU divisional teams as needed
• Draft and/or research press materials such as trade media award submissions, bios, press releases, special issues submissions
• Project manage and assist the corp comms VP and Director with executive events (in-person and virtual) as needed
• Assist Corporate team to help drive accountability through effective activity/project trackers, communications plans, and success metrics on projects and events
• Assist with printed materials, assets and videos for events and presentations
• Support Corporate team with Crisis Communications as required
• Assist and coordinate executive photo and video shoots, working with internal production team members and external vendors
• Assist EVP in special projects including but not limited to requests from the international team and the executive team
• Assist VP in management of external agencies and third-party vendors
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of relevant media relations and communications experience
• Strong writing skills
• Knowledge of Nielsen Media Research and Cision platforms
• Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English or related field

Desired Characteristics
• Experience in tv/media industry a plus
• English/Spanish fluent in both written and verbal communications
