Responsibilities
The VP, Human Resources has overall responsibility for the design, development, and delivery of effective HR strategies that support the business priorities for the Brand Development division within the Universal Filmed Entertainment group. This position will serve as a key member of the Brand Development senior management team and the senior human resources staff. Areas of focus include organizational effectiveness, change management, staffing and development, performance management, compensation planning, retention and workforce planning for all staff.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
• Provide strategic human resources leadership and operate as a sophisticated business partner in supporting the Brand Development division's goals and objectives. Drive HR initiatives including organizational effectiveness, recruitment, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition and employee communication
• Partner closely with Brand Development division leadership to ensure they and their teams are well-positioned to deliver on priorities and position the division for the future. This includes organization design, talent management, change management and 1-on-1 coaching
• Play a key role in the operating mechanisms of the business, including leading the annual talent review, performance assessment, compensation planning and providing support and input for the Brand Development division's Long Range Plan and operating plans
• Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talent and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives
• Partner with the Global Head of Human Resources for the Filmed Entertainment Group and senior leadership to build a career path for employees, identifying opportunities for training, new skill acquisition and advancement
• Help to drive and manage growth of the organization, to include adoption of new technologies, workflows, staffing models, and organization structures
• Identify, develop and retain world-class talent and ensure a dynamic pipeline. Partner with business leadership, legal and external representatives on employee contract discussions
• Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements
• Collaborate with a geographically federated HR leadership team across the international territories, including extensive travel to Company hubs abroad
• Collaborate with the Corporate HR organization to ensure consistency and fairness of functional roles such as Finance, Legal and HR
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Related Field of Study
• Minimum 15 years relevant HR experience with global exposure
• Prior media/entertainment and consumer goods industry experience
• Proven capability to act as key member of leadership team and be viewed as trusted adviser to business leaders providing sound advice and opinions across broad range of issues inside and outside of HR arena
• Commercially aware individual with proven ability to identify and drive HR strategy within a fast growing global business
