Experienced Video Editor Wanted
Editing video. Lots of it. Specifically for the digital team covering the NBC Late Night properties.
Responsibilities Include:
- Creating and cutting mashups, promos, supercuts, Behind the Scenes exclusives, multi-cam interviews, dynamic sizzles, and marketing materials
- Work directly with fellow designers, the Senior Art Director, and producers on creative suggestions to improve these pieces
- Communicate and present video concepts and ideas the digital team
- Deliver engaging and high-quality creative video assets for digital and social platforms
- Develop strong relationships with our Design, Creative, Marketing, and Project Teams to ensure quality deliverables, budgets, and timelines are met.
Skills Necessary:
- Professional-level abilities in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Proficiency in digital media software tools (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong understanding of motion graphics and typography, especially within composition, layout, and pacing
- Must be familiar with creating content for various social media platforms (Instagram, IGTV, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat)
- A team-player with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and turn around projects in a short time period with strict deadlines.
- Must have a digital portfolio that demonstrates innovation, creativity, and technical proficiency
- Experience incorporating motion and static graphics into an edited video pieces
- Understanding in how editing choices can drive a story, help a narrative, and accentuate non-traditional storytelling
- Proficient music selection, sound mixing, and audio cleanup skills (Audition / Frequency)
- Basic VFX skills (paint-outs, keying, etc.)
