Responsibilities The Social Media Specialist, Employer Branding will partner with members of the HR and Employee Engagement team, including Staffing and Communications, as well as with the Digital Marketing team in the development and implementation of employer social media marketing approaches for high volume recruiting, including utilization of emerging technologies (i.e. social media), and recognizing opportunities to market Universal Studios Hollywood as an employer of choice, to a diverse population. This role requires a proven, creative and passionate social media marketer who will oversee multiple social media channels.
• Oversee the execution of operational recruiting messages in the media, online and in the community positioning USH as an exciting employer of choice.
• Social content planning, programming, publishing and tagging
• Hands-on ownership of the company's presence on social media as it relates to Employer Branding. Act as a public voice for: owned social media channels, online review sites, and other external sites.
• Monitor emerging sites and communication channels; recommend new initiatives based on these observations and points of knowledge. Create new and creative ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories and build our audience.
• Point person for gathering answers to fan questions. Also, take advantage of positive comments and opportunities to promote USH as employer of choice.
• Monitor and take necessary actions against spam, potential employer brand threatening content and duplicate/inaccurate location based pages.
• Track channel growth of social media brand pages and other pages as needed. Use findings to maximize growth opportunities.
• Serve as an internal expert and ambassador, sharing best practices and content guidelines with HR partners
• Rationale; increase HR teams capacity to be engaged and participate in Social Media efforts
• Actively partner with social media teams across businesses to share best practice and develop compelling content
• Ability to influence and leverage the organization through knowledge, being savvy, having grace under pressure and confidence
• Act as a comprehensive support function to the Department for ad-hoc tasks and future organizational projects
• Assist with employee communications, program rollouts and HR initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business, Communication or related field is highly preferred
• Minimum of 1 years' experience within social media/marketing role
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram
• Mastery of Social Media Tools: Must have extensive experience with all native social channels and experience with a range of social tools: Omniture, Sprinklr, etc.
• Candidate should be familiar with basic photo / video editing, altering, creating, and sharing. (Photoshop knowledge is a major plus) to include a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Desired Characteristics • Experience in theme park, retail or hospitality industry
• Innovative mindset: someone who looks for new opportunities, generates new ideas, and is able to ''find'' or develop stories
• Positive, 'can-do,' self-starter attitude. Able to initiate projects and hunt down information. Ability to work without a lot of direction and work on several projects simultaneously

• Experience with applicant tracking systems
• Working knowledge of Human Resources highly preferred
