Role Summary:
The KARAMO show is seeking a PRODUCER to produce weekly shows. Booking guests with compelling stories is required. Responsible for all aspects of the show; booking guests, production of segments, field packages, elements, scripts, wardrobe, resolution. This is a project/limited term position with an estimated duration of 8 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
Responsibilities:
• Book and produce relationship driven stories for daytime drama-based talk show under tight deadlines
• Pitch stories to Senior Staff
• Brief guests who will appear on the show including field packages
• Work with Executive Producer and Co-EP, communicating daily development of segments
• Lead team of Associate Producer and Production Assistant and communicate ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Involvement in all show day procedures including but not limited to host briefs, show scripts, requesting show elements, guest wardrobe, graphics and post-production
• Liaise with Production to make sure all expenditures are accounted for and pre-approved
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 1-year professional TV experience with a talk show or news program or other relevant entertainment experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and navigating the internet
• Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through the link below to be considered
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in United States
• Must be able to work in Stamford, CT and remotely
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
Desired Characteristics:
• Experience with Daytime talk
• Minimum 2 years TV Production experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and previous experience booking guests for television
• Strong research skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow direction and work independently when necessary
• Superior organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
