Producer, Weekend Nightly News

Responsibilities
As a Producer for Nightly News Weekend, you'll have the opportunity to produce substantial and impactful feature stories as well as crash breaking news stories. You'll be a major part of the broadcast, working closely with the Executive Producer and Senior Producers to pitch, develop, and produce premium news content. And you'll work at a place that values creativity, experimenting, and expanding your own skillset.

Job Duties:
• Pitch, develop and produce feature stories to air on Nightly News Weekend. This includes booking, writing, overseeing shoots remotely or traveling for them, coordinating graphics, and overseeing the edit.
• Work closely with correspondents and Senior Producers to crash breaking news stories. This includes coordinating with field teams, Social Media Newsgathering, and affiliates to make sure we have the most compelling video and interviews.

Qualifications
/Requirements
• Must have at least five years' editorial experience working in production
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment
• Must be able to shoot and edit
• Must be proficient in social media
• Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events

Desired Characteristics

•Experience working at the network level, preferably with evening television
