Summary:
This position is on the Business & Legal Affairs team responsible for providing business and legal support for Universal Brand Development (UBD). UBD handles the licensing of NBCU film and television properties for merchandising, publishing, video games, digital and interactive uses, and commercial tie-ins/promotions. This role would primarily focus on drafting, basic legal research on rights, and generally assisting group attorneys with respect to consumer products, primarily for Latin America.
Responsibilities
include:
• Draft, edit and review a high volume of intellectual property license agreements and related documents associated with the licensing of intellectual property content for consumer products.
• Conduct research and draft memorandum outlining underlying rights for NBCUniversal's film and television properties.
• Correspond with internal business partners, other legal departments, and licensees.
• Organize and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing systems.
• Provide additional support to the group as needed.

• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.

• 2 years paralegal experience at a major law firm, or comparable studio or corporate experience preferred.

• Strong work ethic with ability to juggle a large volume of work efficiently and effectively, and meet multiple deadlines, with minimal supervision.
• Self-starter with a high-level of motivation.
• Proven ability to exercise proper judgment to assess priorities.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
