Part Time Paid Internship

NBCUniversal owns and operates a valuable portfolio of news and entertainment networks, a premier motion picture company, significant television production operations, a leading television stations group, and world-renowned theme parks.
NBCUniversal International is offering a number of 12-month Research internship positions within the TV group, supporting the channels, content sales, and production businesses. Interns are a crucial part of the team. They work on a wide variety of important projects, such as: regular TV channel reporting that feeds directly into programming and marketing decisions; support for the sales of major series and movies to broadcasters and digital players; and analysis on the performance of new productions. The internships provide a great opportunity to learn about the media business and research techniques, and make a real difference to the success of the company.
The role would suit individuals with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and writing ability, that are passionate about television and media.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
will vary between teams, but include the following:
• Create regular reporting on channel and content performance.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses on channel and content performance.
• Track and analyse subscription service viewership (e.g. Netflix, Amazon & hayu).
• Conduct analysis of digital purchase and rental sales (e.g. iTunes, Sky Store).
• Produce materials to support programme licensing.
• Monitor and communicate market trends.
• Ensure quality of information in various reporting systems.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders.
• Provide admin support to the team as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
REQUIREMENTS
You will ideally be studying a degree-level or equivalent course, seeking a 12-month internship. The key requirements for the role are:
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise.
• A passion for media, particularly TV and/or film.
• Motivation and enthusiasm, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint is desirable.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship.
• Fluent English. Additional languages may be useful.
