NBCUniversal are offering a number of 12-month internship opportunities from July 2020 in the PR and Publicity within NBCUniversal International
To join one of our 12-month Internships you will be studying or have no more than one year of experience post your graduating with a degree-level or equivalent course.
You must also be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship.
To ensure that you are considered for the placement that best fits your interest and skillset, we recommend that you apply to no more than 3 placements.
Qualifications
/Requirements
International Publicity Intern
Responsibilities
include:
• Supports the Senior Publicists on all European based talent logistics
• Assisting with junkets and press events (where necessary) including booking press hotels
• Assisting with booking travel for European based talent
• Negotiates deal memos for glam & styling for European based talent
• Setting up screenings as needed
• Contribute to brainstorms
Public Relations Intern (Networks)
Responsibilities
include:
• Working with other coordinators across the department/business to collect and collate press assets that can then be distributed to external partners and journalists
• Assisting with talent travel and interview schedules - both booking travel and compiling itineraries
• Supporting at events and press junkets
• Liaising with outside agencies and vendors to ensure timely payment; assisting with meeting schedules and facilitation
• Help preparing presentations and media materials
• Tracking and saving press coverage; updating media lists and status documents.
Public Relations Intern (Corporate/Networks)
Responsibilities
include:
• Support the PR team on full range of publicity and communications activity
• Coordinate and assist with PR events – press junkets, set visits etc. including: logistics – car, hotel, flight, itineraries restaurant bookings etc.
• Liaison with local PR teams and suppliers (hotel, branding etc.)
• Assist with general territory PR enquiries (requests for interviews, set visits, transcripts, talent access, etc.)
• Collate consumer / trade press coverage
• Maintain team documents (meeting agendas etc.)
• Manage PR assets (upload images, videos, press coverage etc. to sharing site for territory teams and journalists)
• Key admin user contact for sharing site and assisting with technical support
• Manage interview transcripts
• Work with the team to develop and streamline our internal communications processes
• Organise international team conferences including travel and accommodation
• Prepare documents, reports and PowerPoint presentations for events and meetings
• Maintain shared drive to ensure all information is kept up to date including brand strategies, briefs, content images, press releases, press kits etc.
• Assist in general research
• Set up regular meetings and video conferences with our local teams
• Issuing purchase orders for all work carried out for department
• Record and track all invoices and monitor department budget
• Fielding both internal/external inquiries
• General administration including expenses
Education
& Qualifications:
To join one of our 12-month Internships you will be studying or have no more than one year of experience post your graduating with a degree-level or equivalent course specifically in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English or Media related studies.
