Paid Intern - Act Two Program Supervisor, Media Fulfillment Operations

Act Two Consultant, Operations & Technology
The Act Two career relaunch program at NBCUniversal is a 6-month paid, fixed-term role for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for personal reasons such as caregiving. The program is open to women and men who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce (in an office/ corporate environment) for at least two years to focus on caring for a child or another dependent. The Supervisor, QC Operations, will be part of a 24x7 dedicated team tasked with quality control, transcode, and delivery of content for NBCUniversal's international channels and O&O stations.
• Overseeing operations staff including high reliability, metrics tracking, handling performance reviews and employee issues, creating monthly schedules, assisting with day to day operations and conducting training session
• Working directly with Encode/QC Operations Manager and Project Manager to ensure monthly metrics are accurate
• Supervising the creation and publication of standard operating procedures to ensure the operation achieves and exceeds its reliability goals and service level agreements
• Assisting with any project management related to testing, roll-out, and implementation of new systems or procedures
Qualifications/Requirements
• Strong people management skills
• 1 yrs experience in a leadership role in a fast paced environment requiring troubleshooting and process skills, and exhibiting an ability to effectively lead, prioritize and adapt to changing scenarios
• 3 yrs experience in a broadcast, post production or digital media prep environment
• A track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations
Desired Characteristics
• Must be willing to work in Centennial, Colorado
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the US
• Must be 18 years or older
• This position requires the ability to work any scheduled time, including nights, weekends and holidays to support the 24x7 media prep environment • BA/BS in related field
• 1 - 3 yrs experience in a supervisory role in the broadcast/media industry
• 1 - 3 yrs experience exhibiting overall understanding and knowledge of the video post-production process, media operations, and/or digital video deliveries for broadcast
• Extensive and significant experience, understanding and knowledge of digital broadcast and production technical systems, standards and processes
• Technical experience with media asset management and workflow systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, detail oriented and motivated team player
• Experience with work rules and scheduling
• Prior experience using media technology library and workflow systems
• Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
• A team player, who is always respectful, follows rules and policy, has good communication skills, and maintains a positive attitude
