Full Time Job
Responsibilities
Provide HR support to Director and other HR team members in the following areas:
HR Generalist Support
• Partners with Talent Acquisition to lead recruitment activities for open positions including, drafting job descriptions, developing interview guides, conducting interviews and leading the interviewing and selection process
• Assist in ongoing efforts to reinforce excellent performance management through regular feedback, documentation, recognition and improvement efforts
• Assist with the monitoring and completion of the company wage and salary increase process for both represented and non-represented employees
• Analyze competitive market research and prepare compensation recommendations for new hires and promotions supporting consistent pay practices
• Manage transactions, data integrity/auditing and reporting through our HR systems ( SAP , Brassring, Timekeeper)
• Coordinate and, on occasion, facilitate employee meetings (e.g. Survey Feedback, Performance Management Training)
• Works with managers and Human Resources team to ensure proper hiring/transfer/termination processes are followed utilizing in-house tools to complete the transactions
Employee Relations
• Conduct and successfully resolve investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth
• Manage and resolve escalated ER cases as well as cases originating through the companies Ethic's Hotline
• Manage relationships with broader ER support groups such as Labor relations, and Union Reps for represented employees
• Coordinate investigatory process in accordance with Company practices and Collective Bargaining agreements
• Partner with HR team to address gaps including drafting, written warnings, and facilitating the necessary communications to drive an effective outcome
• In partnership with the assigned organizational HR partner, provide counsel and direction to department leaders on a broad range of employee issues, including interpretation of the collective bargaining agreement and disciplinary actions
• Performs quality review of current Employee relations case management, case documentation and provides feedback and suggests process changes as appropriate
• Analyze and track ER trends to proactively create a positive organizational culture and build manager capabilities
Project Support
• Serves as lead in employee communications: drafts and distributes monthly and adhoc communications to our employee population
• Provide Adhoc reporting and analytics support to HR Manager, Director and VP-HR
• Organize and execute employee engagement events: plans logistics, vendor management and communications
• Provide broad HR support in the development and execution of all HR initiatives
Administrative Support
• Serve as point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
• Point person for day to day employee questions; responsible for providing accurate and timely information; solicit feedback
• Prepare termination and severance letters
• Maintain employee records and paperwork
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Related Field of Study
• Minimum 3 years relevant HR experience employee relations, compliance and compensation

• Previous experience with a union workforce
• Demonstrated ability to translate 'big picture' business strategy into an HR plan which can be executed
• Demonstrated track record of delivering results
