Responsibilities
Summary:
We are looking for a HR/Compliance Generalist to provide HR and compliance support for multi-function employees within Fandango's organization in Beverly Hills, California. This position will directly support the HR staff comprised of a Sr. Manager, Director and VP and is responsible for interfacing & problem solving with a number of business partners, as well as providing broad HR/Compliance administrative and transactional support for a team of approximately 400 employees.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to Director, Sr. Manager, VP in the following areas:
Compliance Support
• Serves as the subject matter expert for the Information Security Compliance Program as it relates to the HR organization and performs a variety of analytical, evaluative, interpretive, and/or advisory duties to ensure compliance with the Secure Practice & Process: Human Resources guidelines.
• Gathers and maintains all evidence of control operations for all areas within HR environment as described within the Secure Practice & Process: Human Resources.
• Monitors activity and ensures compliance and consistency in all facets of employee life cycle.
• Researches and prepares compliance related communications to employees, contracted persons, and/or management as needed.
• Interfaces with other groups within Fandango and NBCU Compliance and Cyber/Information Security teams and act as HR point person on periodic internal audits, risk assessments and enterprise compliance reviews.
• Responsible for all HR compliance program recordkeeping.
• Helps lead and execute on all HR compliance program improvement initiatives.
• Supports key compliance program initiatives by gathering and analyzing data to identify compliance risks. May assist in suggesting resolutions. As necessary, escalates identified risks to senior team members. Identifies compliance impact on matters such as documentation and other business related initiatives.
• Continually assesses activity for existing and emerging risks.
• Executes on the Compliance program objectives for HR. May assist with communicating and socializing compliance program objectives to employees and management. Under supervision, challenges analyses and formulates recommendations.
• Prepares compliance evidence reports. Identifies issues illustrated by the reports, escalates through proper governance channels as needed. Assists, as appropriate, in updating or implementing new/enhanced reports in order to ensure timely and effective compliance with regulatory requirements.
HR Generalist Support
• Partners with Talent Acquisition to lead recruitment activities for open positions including, drafting job descriptions, benchmarking positions, etc.
• Assist with the monitoring and completion of the company wage and salary increase process for employees
• Analyze competitive market research and prepare compensation recommendations for new hires and promotions supporting consistent pay practices
• Coordinate and, on occasion, facilitate employee meetings (e.g. Survey Feedback, Performance Management Training, Pilot Program Initiatives)
• Works with managers and HR team to ensure proper hiring/transfer/termination processes are followed
• Participate in and support key HR initiatives, including performance management, succession planning & compensation planning
• Keep apprised & updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures
• Attend & participate in training courses pertinent to Human Resources as required
Employee Relations
• Alongside HR Business Partners, participate in and help support the investigation process when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
• In close partnership with HR Business Partners, assist with the process of conducting and successfully resolving investigations when complaints or concerns of compliance program violations are brought forth.
• Assist and support HR Business Partners with ER cases, as well as cases originating through the companies Ethic's Hotline as needed.
• Assist with managing relationships with broader ER support groups such as Labor Relations, Compliance, NBCU Information Security, and NBCU Cyber Security.
• Support HR Business Partners with drafting written warnings, memos and other necessary documentation.
• Analyze and track ER trends for the team to assist with proactively creating a positive organizational culture and build manager capabilities.
Project Support
• Serves as lead in employee communications: drafts and distributes monthly and ad-hoc communications to our employee population
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytics support to HR Sr. Manager, Director and VP
• Provide broad HR support in the development and execution of all HR initiatives
Administrative Support
• Serve as point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
• Maintain employee records and paperwork
• Process new hires and ensure full onboarding experience is achieved, to include conducting NHO
• Work with business clients in processing setup requests for contracted persons
• Support HR team with exit interviews
• Administer i-9 verifications for all new hires
• Plan logistics for employee meetings, trainings, roundtables, including room reservations and technology set-up
• Respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation or redirect employees to appropriate contacts…in a timely manner
• Liaise with various HR specialties and partners, including Benefits and Payroll, to manage and resolve day to day employee issues.
• Prepare severance estimates, draft separation agreements and packages & coordinate all final payments abiding by pay rules in multiple states

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Related Field of Study
• Minimum 2 years relevant HR, compliance and related experience

• Knowledge of and ability to manage the major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization required of audit and compliance function for HR organization
• Knowledge of organization's internal audit processes, practices and methods.
