Responsibilities
Here you can… words NBCUniversal lives by.
We believe that the talent, creativity and diversity of our people are our greatest resources, allowing us to create and deliver content so compelling it entertains, informs and shapes our world.
Building upon our future talent is key for us, and that's where the Early Careers Programme Managers come in to play. Working alongside the existing Early Careers Programme Manager, you'll be responsible for the NBCUniversal International early careers pipeline. The team has a wide remit, from driving programmes such as First Step Work Experience, Internships, Future Leaders Programme, Apprenticeships, Prince's Trust Get Started and other early careers initiatives; this role will have a particular focus on implementing our Apprenticeship programme, but will have input across all of our early careers activities. You will control the day to day operations including staffing, recruiting, client relationships and programming, covering approximately 100 hires per year across all programmes.
Qualifications/Requirements
You'll be a seasoned early careers recruiter, as you manage and deliver end-to-end recruitment across a range of programmes. You will relish the challenge of implementing our strategy in response to the Apprenticeship Levy. No two days will be the same as you advance and deliver a compelling development offering appropriate to each of the programmes from CV Surgeries to Lunch and Learns!
And it's not just about who is here now, but managing all our programme alumni and partnering with Talent Acquisition to create a pipeline for entry level staff and contract roles, including retaining talent into appropriate level live roles.
You'll partner with the wider HR group, serving as primary liaison with the wider international and domestic early careers programme teams. You'll build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders with consistent communication, educating and supporting hiring managers, providing advice around effective recruitment processes, on boarding and setting clear goals and objectives for interns for example.
Attraction and Marketing is key to the success of reaching the right talent, so you will lead partnerships and plans with colleges and universities, as well as diversity organisations; acting as a liaison for outreach with industry organisations, panels, job fairs etc. centred on an early career audience. You'll act as a brand ambassador, contributing to our Social Media strategy across all international accounts, delivering compelling social campaigns which reflect our programme recruitment activities as well as our company activities and culture.
We're looking for an individual who is truly passionate about people, with experience in an international environment, boasting a can-do attitude. Navigating a complex, international matrixed business is what you're used to and what you enjoy. With strong communication skills you're naturally self-motivated. You look to manage your agenda in a proactive way, with proven examples of managing and developing such programmes as ours. A creative mind-set and sense of humour is paramount.
Of course, we want to ensure you get what you want, too. We endeavour to recognise great work, and offer a culture that allows plenty of opportunity to build a friendly and supportive network with peers across Europe and beyond, ongoing personal development and plenty of perks that only a company like NBCUniversal can offer!
