Responsibilities
“Meet the Press,†the longest-running show in television history, seeks a strong coordinating booking producer for the Sunday morning broadcast, Meet the Press Reports and The Chuck Toddcast. A demonstrated interest in and knowledge of American politics, a track record of booking high-profile guest interviews, strategic thinking and strong news judgment are required.
“Meet the Press†is more than just the number-one Sunday public affairs program. With a daily program on NBC News NOW, a morning newsletter, a weekly podcast; the annual “Meet the Press Film Festival†of short documentaries; and a weekly magazine show, Meet the Press Reports on NBC News Now, “Meet the Press†is the go-to brand for deep political reporting and indispensable analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
• Book a wide variety of national and international newsmakers for “Meet the Pressâ€, “Meet the Press Reports†and “The Chuck Toddcastâ€, including key players at the White House, in Congress and other guests from various fields, specializing in national politics
• Develop and drive the short- and longer-term booking strategy across “Meet the Press†platforms, working closely with senior leaders of the team.
• Build and cultivate relationships with high-profile guests, securing top newsmakers when they are relevant
• Conduct pre-interviews, secure facilities for remote interviews and arrange transportation for guests
• Enterprise, conceptualize and pitch story and guest ideas for all “Meet the Press†platforms
• Anchor produce on Sunday mornings when required
• Be prepared to address late changes in the broadcast rundown at any time, including on weekends
• Work with technical managers to arrange studio logistics for live and taped interviews
• Work closely with the broader NBC News booking operation.

• Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college
• Must have at least eight years of experience in live television, and a broad list of high-profile guest contacts

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the
United States
• Willingness to work on weekends, when required, and to
be reachable at all times
• Some travel with the broadcast may be required,
especially for events like key interviews, national political
conventions and special broadcasts
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
Desired Characteristics
