The Associate Manager, Social Media Content at NBC Sports plays a key role to lead day-to-day content planning and strategy for a series of the company’s top priorities. The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of social media and user behavior and a strong track record in content strategy, social platform expertise, creativity and attention to detail.
This full-time position sits on the NBC Sports marketing team and reports to the Senior Manager, Social Media Content. The role will focus on efforts surrounding the Olympics, On Her Turf and NBC Sports flagship accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Ideate and design daily and weekly content plans that align with weekly priorities and season-long content strategies
• Oversee the development of season-long content franchises for each property
• Own the full circle of content ideation and development from brainstorm to execution
• Work with internal and external partners on content development and creation
• Ensure that all assigned content under each property is developed, published/scheduled and tracked
• Works directly with talent and production teams to support in-studio and on-site content creation
• Implements quick-turn and long-lead feedback from strategy & insights team into content plans
• Support branded content efforts by helping with the ideation and execution of social sales campaigns
• Engages in cross-functional planning and event management with marketing, sales, production and digital teams
• Supervises one or more content coordinators and agency partners and ensures all work is properly assigned and completed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field
• Extensive knowledge of sports and internet culture
• Experience and proficiency in all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook, Threads and BlueSky)
• Experience with a variety of social and project management tools (Sprout Social, Airtable, Monday.com, etc.)
• 3 years relevant work experience
