Full Time Paid Internship
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities and projects may include (but are not limited to):
• Assist with building a feature for displaying breaking news alerts in upcoming apps on various platforms
• Write code that is understandable and maintainable, and engage in code reviews with software developer peers
• Implement software in collaboration with other software developers
• Collaborate with team members across various disciplines to write apps for phones, tablets, and TV
• Attend weekly planning and retrospective meetings
• Invest in your growth as a software engineer and apps developer
Qualifications
/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
• Need to be able to work on-site in Seattle, WA
Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit.

Summer Internship Program Dates: June 2020 - August 2020
Desired Characteristics
Desired Backgrounds Include: Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, Digital/New Media Studies
Desired Characteristics:
• Previous internship experience or on-campus involvement
• Ability to work effectively in a high-intensity environment, often under tight deadline pressures.
• Java experience preferred
• Knowledge of platform concepts
• Knowledge of the iOS and Android platforms
• Knowledge of Swift, Objective-C, and Kotlin is a plus
