As a Booking Associate Producer, you will work as part of NBC News' Booking and Editorial Unit, on the News and Politics team, responsible for booking guests across all platforms of NBC News.
Please note: This job is a Sunday to Thursday schedule. Schedules will vary but must be able to work all shifts, including overnights.
Responsibilities:
• Manage short- and long-term bookings across multiple NBC News platforms.
• Pitch story ideas and work on assigned bookings as they are launched by editorial teams and shows.
• Coordinate guest travel and live shot logistics in partnership with production teams and arrange editorial guidance and pre-interviews with segment producers.
• Support on-set guest coordination, helping to manage multiple guests from arrival through their segment across various broadcast and NBC News NOW shows.
• Coordinating and giving direction to all bookers in the field, often during breaking news.
• Writing letters and proposals to various publicists, lawyers, and/or potential guests and maintaining relationships until an interview is secured.
Qualifications
• Must have at least 2 years of experience working in production or booking at the network level.
• Must have a Bachelor's degree.

• Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.
• Must be willing to travel with little notice, and for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must be willing to take submit to a background investigation.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

• A genuine news junkie who gets their information from a wide range of sources be it broadcast, newsletters, podcasts, social media or anything in between.
• Someone who starts the day by checking news alerts, morning shows, and socials to know the stories everyone will be talking about.
• Strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment where the day we started at 9AM may be totally different by noon.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Understands how to work with people in serious, sometimes complicated and stressful situations.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
• Strong knowledge of all social media platforms.
• Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events.
Additional Requirements:
This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
