Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proofing metadata for content distributed to digital service providers, such as iTunes and Spotify
- Upholding exceptional standards of content quality and accuracy
- Investigating and resolving content related issues
- Corresponding with distributed labels to ensure that their content is represented faithfully online
- Contributing to the development of departmental workflows and company processes at large
- Occasionally assisting other departments in relevant areas of expertise (playlist curation, forensic musicology, translation, etc.)
- Maintaining the quality and consistency of product metadata on iTunes and other DSPs
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- An understanding of the history, idioms, terms, and practices of Western classical music is critical to success in this role. Knowledge of and appreciation for other styles and genres of music is also beneficial
- Attention to detail is a measure of performance
- Must be able to navigate complex rules and standards requiring critical thinking, adaptability, and a strong memory
- The ability to maintain a balance between quality and expediency is essential
- We work with a variety of local and international teams (as well as customers), so impeccable oral and written communication are invaluable. Experience in customer service is a plus
- Must be collaborative and comfortable working closely with a team of good-humored and dedicated individuals
- Competence or working experience with foreign language(s) is a plus [especially those more commonly used in classical music, such as German, French, and Italian]
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in classical music or a closely related field is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
