Search for Entertainment Research Quality Control Specialist jobs in Los Angeles-CA
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist who will assist with vendor management and quality control of coding for our global research studies, including online surveys, in person intercepts, recruited audiences, and exit polls. The Quality Control Specialist must be reliable, able to work independently and as part of a team, and be an effective communicator to all levels of management, vendors, and teams. The ability to multi-task, stay organized, and have a high level of attention to detail will be critical.
Your Impact
-Liaise with third party vendors to execute open ended coding for online surveys, in person intercepts, screenings, exit polling, and tracking from project set-up through completion.
-Oversee the data quality of our coding deliverables by reviewing coding files for accuracy and providing real time feedback to the third party vendors.
-Monitor vendor progress and ensure projects are on track to be delivered by their deadlines.
-Manage the coding of film screenings by attending the showing, writing a synopsis, building code frames and scene lists, and maintaining an open line of communication with the third-party vendor to answer any questions they may have about the film content.
Who We're Looking For
Experience - 1+ years of professional experience, preferably in coding, market research, project management or entertainment.
Passion - An enthusiasm for research and coding. You live and breathe all things entertainment and enjoy staying up to date on industry trends and developments. Small talking or deep diving on entertainment fuels you.
Your degree - College degree preferred.
Tools - Excellent computer skills, including high proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent typing skills needed.
Superb communication - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Reading Comprehension - Excellent reading comprehension and interpretation skills.
Time management & Adaptability - Successfully manage time and competing priorities to ensure deadlines are always met; able to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
Hawk-eyed attention to detail - No errors get past you and you do all that you can to ensure nothing slips through the cracks when it comes to quality control and reporting.
Self-starter - Internally motivated individual who continuously strives to get things done, regardless of challenges encountered.
Team player - Ability to work collaboratively and/or initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
Position Type
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The hours of work and days are very flexible, as the schedule will change each week. Quality Control Specialists will be required to attend recruited audience screenings in the evenings and work after screenings through the night and/or early morning (overnight) until coding is completed, and will also often work Saturdays and Sundays. This person must be willing to travel to recruited audience screenings in and around the Los Angeles area including but not limited to Northridge, Sherman Oaks, Orange County, Long Beach, San Bernardino county and other districts. Due to strict client deliverable turnaround times after screenings, candidates in Central Los Angeles are highly desirable. Travel is generally in the local area, though on the rare occasion, this person may be asked to attend an out of town screening as well.
Our Commitment
Diversity, equity, and inclusion is at the center of all our practices to ensure that NRG is a place where people from all identities and backgrounds can thrive. NRG is committed to recruiting and retaining diverse talent by supporting their growth through learning programs, internal mobility, affinity group participation and leadership development. We are proud to be an inclusive workplace for all and are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.
Compensation
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $16.78-$18.00 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
