Supervisor - Motion Design (DBT)
Job Summary:
The Motion Design Supervisor will support the DBT Creative Marketing team with operations, project support and supervision for design and animation projects; including motion graphics that engage audiences across all platforms.
The Motion Design Supervisor will report to an Art Director on the Motion Design team and work closely with all team members across creative and project management. They are the gatekeeper and point of contact for daily graphics requests and deliverable versioning for the Motion Design team. The Motion Design Supervisor will help oversee project workflows, scheduling artist time with the internal Creative Services team and review processes ensuring projects are accounted for and go through proper review/approval.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong organizational skills and the capacity to handle a high volume of work and a strong understanding the motion design and animation production process. This person must be even keeled, have strong note taking ability. They must have experience and interest in the motion design field and genuine passion for the entertainment industry and the arts.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with and support for the Art Director and VFX/Animation Directors to ensure all deliverables meet a high standard of production value
• Liaison between writer/producers and the Motion Design team for daily graphic requests & asset needs
• Keep track of requested deliverables project timelines for motion graphics projects
• Responsible for overseeing graphic technical spec and file naming guidelines and enforcement
• Oversee the graphics delivery pipeline to our post facilities and internal archive
• Supervise editorial sessions for pulling footage selections for motion graphics and VFX needs, delivering to internal and 3rd party vendors
• Lead technical QC and delivery process for the Motion Design team's deliverables in collaboration with the Motion Design Asset Coordinator
• Provides QC review and approval for GFX packages
• Final sign off and approval on GFX versioning for established design
• Interdepartmental support for sourcing existing graphic assets
• Assemble project kickoff asset packs (existing project collects, spec sheets, relevant guides, etc.) for vendors and artists
• Recap and send notes as needed for internal and external projects
• Ability to maintain professional disposition when representing the department in cross functional and outside vendor meetings
• Ability to grasp feedback and notes from relevant stakeholders and guide implementation of changes
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3+ yrs. experience in Entertainment Marketing Design or related field.
• Excellent communication and organization skills, both written and verbal
• Professional disposition
• Familiarity with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Maxon Cinema 4D, and Autodesk Maya
• Must possess a strong work ethic, ability to multi-task and a drive to support the creation of compelling creative content that achieves the business goals of DBT Marketing and Multiplatform Content
