JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of dedicated consumer products for our target segments, with the goal of increasing NG Media's subscription revenue. Reporting to the SVP of [Digital Experiences], this role will create high quality, digital experiences for individual audiences. These experiences will address the evolving product, drive brand loyalty through engaging, personalized content, and guide consumers along the path to active engagement. This role works closely with NG Media's Marketing team to understand consumer needs, and with the Analytics team to identify what features/content is driving the highest engagement. This person must be closely aligned with with DTCI's Product and Technology team to ensure the products are delivered on time and on budget, and to drive a digital user experience that drives acquisition.
Responsibilities:
• Develop unique product solution for targeted audiences that drive incremental revenue.
• Be the business owner driving DTCI's roadmap and UX for segment-targeted products.
• Maintain deep learning of our target consumers and what features/content drives engagement.
• Work with Marketing team to drive engagement and retention through multi-channel strategies (email, push notifications, and in-app messaging).
• Partner with Analytics team to assess feature/content performance and identify key opportunities.
• Prioritize the development items for each release based on input from the Marketing team.
• Ensure that the digital experience for subscribing to these products are seamless, driving acquisition and reducing churn.
• Understand the publishing industry competitive landscape and what drives uniqueness to National Geographic's offering.
• Negotiate and enforce an SLA and budget allocation for the technology work.
• Ensure subscriber acquisition and churn rate through segment-target products are in line with organic growth set on NG Media's AOP.
• Develop and maintain a consistent user experience across all NG Media products.
• Continuously improve these products reviews and NPS scores.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred.
• 4+ years of Product and CRM experience.
• Solid experience in digital product development and management.
• Experience with email marketing, re-activation and retention campaigns a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of an organization with the ability to present complex data, influence others, and build relationships.
• Must have a creative eye, attention to detail and is a self-starter.
• Proactive in managing against responsibilities, with a strong drive to take initiative and follow through.
• Must be a team player and understand how to work across multiple partners and stakeholders.
• Strong analytics skills with data driven approach with ability to solve complex problems.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and shifting timelines.
