JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview:
This candidate will be responsible for producing and managing custom advertising projects/programs across the National Geographic digital business and properties as well as oversee and write RFP requests for sales pitches.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee digital projects such as custom page and article builds, ad design, paid Facebook and LinkedIn social media copy and layouts, and infographics or animations tied to a client program
• Support for video projects as needed, including scripting and concepting
• Work with clients or agency leads on a daily basis to incorporate feedback, gain approvals during every phase of production, present designs and creative media executions, manage creative/site performance reports, and assist with program wrap-up analysis
• Conceive, concept, and craft proposals for paid partnerships in response to RFPs. Includes writing of full idea (including all digital opportunities, plus social, video and talent), and vetting with internal teams
• Prep materials, such as itemized shot lists for custom photography shoots, wireframes/UX userflows, robust production timelines, campaign trackers, story scripts and creative kick off agendas for contractors or vendors
• Liaise between internal teams (editorial, marketing, sales, tech, product, legal, QA, analytics, and Ad Ops) and external vendors (writers, designers, developers, photographers) to manage workflow and assure program execution
• Manage third-party partners and/or vendors and ensure their deliverables are provided on time, in good quality, and within budget
• Field inbound questions and requests as related to digital production, execution, timelines, and production fees
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of creative production or project management experience with an emphasis on creative, digital and social media.
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
• Familiarity with CMS environments, Basecamp, Asana, Slack, Google Docs or JIRA a plus
• Well rounded digital background and skills ranging from creative to technical
• Familiarity with and appreciation for digital, interactive and animated media, and social media
• Proficiency at conveying design and business requirements using various methods such as functional requirements, use cases, wireframes, mockups, etc.
• Manage deliverables and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders
• Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, resourceful and able to work in fast paced environment and juggle multiple projects at once.
• Excellent writing and communication skills
