JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for administrative, coordination and program production duties for the talent and production teams based in NYC. Overall responsibilities include providing detailed administrative support, sourcing talent for casting, reviewing all production documents, noting on edits, and departmental administrative tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the VP, Casting & Talent Relations and Vice President of Production. Organize travel and logistics, coordinate conference calls and meetings, create and submit expenses, maintain multiple calendars and schedules. Source video for casting submissions. Research and suggest new talent for development and casting. In liaisoning process, expected to establish strong relationships with agency assistants and production company coordinators. Run audio and video for senior staff meetings.
• Create written casting presentations. Research and submit talent for casting review. Coordinate all development department meetings, update and maintain show status and staff assignments in database and department files. Input all talent into the Company database. Coordinate department office activities (e.g., office moves, furniture requests, IT troubleshooting, computer folder access, procuring office supplies, etc.).
• Prepare written and visual presentations for senior executives and have the ability to quickly adjust priorities to provide critical materials in a timely, accurate and creative manner.
• Coordinate industry conferences including travel, meetings, group events, room booking and coordination with conference organizers.
• Performs research and create potential talent lists. Contribute to internal brainstorms and development meetings.
• Manage intern hiring.
• Respond to blind pitch submissions.
Requirements:
• B.A. or B.S. Minimum of one year specific in a TV environment. Basic working knowledge of talent representatives, plus the databases that focus on talent.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and professional demeanor. This includes experience in and ability to give and take pitches and present shows to full Channel as new programming is rolled out. Ability to conceive of and pitch original ideas is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, teamwork, and ability to take initiative to problem solve.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Filemaker Pro, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Lotus Notes, and Outlook. Experience with FinalCut Pro or other editing software is essential. Photoshop is a plus.
• Knowledge of production and post production process, and able to make editorial suggestions that improve quality of programming. Creative, unflappable under pressure, and has a ''whatever it takes'' attitude.
• Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining effective business relationships is necessary.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
• The ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities and daily time constraints is required.
