JOB DESCRIPTION
The Digital Producer will work with content creators at National Geographic Partners to help coordinate, produce and edit digital storytelling. The Producer will work with a variety of reporters, editors and producers preparing editorial content on a daily and special project basis. This role will support the History & Culture desk.
Responsibilities:
• Assists editors and reporters in editorial production.
• Creates editorial content for a digital audience.
• Works with editorial, social and distribution teams to maximize digital reach.
• Performs quality assurance to maintain high standards of audience value, consumer impact, and user experience.
• This role is a content operations producer role, meaning this Producer will be called upon to jump in on various projects from the start, middle, or sometimes the end.
• Act as a steady decision maker and reliable teammate who can work independently and work with others in harmony.
• While being a multi-skilled team member, the Producer has a wide range of knowledge in digital writing, keeps tabs on evolutionary changes and new tools in the digital storytelling landscape, and is always curious to learn and take on more responsibility.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum three years' related experience. Some knowledge working in an editorial environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with HTML, digital content management and publishing systems preferred.
