Responsibilities
Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with broadcasters, studios, production companies, agents, PROs, and other potential business partners
Work closely with CEO to continually review client acquisition strategy and evaluate potential deals for signing
Work closely with the acquisitions Team to improve processes and procedures
Keep your finger on the pulse of the media landscape to ensure we are ahead of the game in signing new deals
Research new leads as requested by management
Work with the VP and UK team to pursue new business, and develop and maximize opportunities with existing key clients
New business research, including the monitoring of trade press to identify potential clients and research into the status of rights for current and potential clients
Administrative roles, including liaising with clients and internal administration teams regarding delivery (i.e. agreements, cue sheets and audio) and registrations
Work with the Digital Team to understand and realize online/digital revenue opportunities (i.e. YouTube)
Deal management: to become point contact and take primary responsibility for selected ongoing and new clients
Assisting with identifying and pursuing exploitation opportunities for the Visual + Media Rights catalog
Marketing: Work with the social media team on curating and effectuating Visual + Media Rights posts and prepare and execute specific Visual + Media Rights marketing e-mails plus additional ad hoc e-marketing (i.e. key releases, awards) with Canva and MailChimp
Ad hoc projects, preparing reports and presentations as required including pitches and quarterly internal newsletters
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a related field of study
3+ years of professional work experience in the film, TV or Music industry, with industry contacts
Experience and knowledge of film and television licensing and distribution
A passionate enthusiast for film and television with an archivist / researcher-like mindset across a wide range of media
Administration experience and first-class organizational skills and attention to detail
IT literate (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint) and aptitude to take on the use of new software packages
Work well independently, take initiative, identify potential issues & successfully problem-solve with sound business ideas
Client focused with the ability to consistently communicate in a courteous and professional manner to both internal and external parties o Ability to escalate issues appropriately
Effective at working with internal and external colleagues to ensure a high level of customer service o Supportive of the team to ensure the consistent delivery of departmental objectives
Flexible and cooperative to all tasks to ensure tasks are achieved
Open-minded and motivated to recommend changes to processes and procedures where this would result in a more effective service
