About: Mythical is an Internet-first entertainment production company headed by YouTube creators Rhett & Link. Its five YouTube channels have amassed over 23 million subscribers and nearly 7 billion views. Rhett & Link host the internet's most popular daily show, Good Mythical Morning, among other shows and podcasts.
Position: The Channel Manager will work full-time under the Director of Audience Development & Distribution, overseeing the company's YouTube channels, principally the daily Good Mythical Morning, its growing presence on Facebook Watch, and its weekly podcast Ear Biscuits. Applicants should have experience with the YouTube and Facebook backends and be fluent in publishing to these platforms, playlist creation, keyword tagging, title optimization, monetization, creation / refinement of video thumbnails, and construction of Info Cards, End Cards, and other associated meta-media.
Duties include:
- Working with production & design teams to secure channel & end card artwork
- Liaising with video content team to receive videos for upload
- Channel settings optimization, modifying channel bio & tags
- Video titles, descriptions, and tag templates
- Video uploading and settings optimization
- Thumbnail creation, titles, descriptions, and tags
- Curation & Optimization of playlists
- Comment review/approval and response
- Subscriber acquisition efforts
- Assist in weekly & monthly insight reporting
- Management of monetization and brand restriction settings
- QC all content and communicate any necessary edits before upload
- Keep an eye on platform updates & trends on YouTube & Facebook Watch
- Minimum 1 year of experience directly managing/growing YouTube channel(s), ideally at an digital content studio, video publisher, content brand, or MCN
- Four-year degree from an accredited college/university

Skillset Requirements:
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills
- Strong understanding of VSEO
- Knowledge of best practices for YouTube channel management and growth
- Superb accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Collaborate effectively in cross functional meetings
- Willingness to be responsive after-hours and on weekends if needed
- Desire to learn high-end data analytics and SEO skills
- VidIQ, TubeBuddy, SimplyMeasured, or similar program experience a plus
