Production & Post Sound Mixer

Position Overview:
This role handles various on-set and post sound needs for all productions across Mythical Entertainment. The Production & Post Sound Mixer reports directly to the Sound Supervisor and works closely with the Production and Post-Production departments.

Responsibilities:
Record sound both on-location and in studio using various audio devices from Sound Devices and Zoom, Yamaha QL1, Lectrosonics WIreless Systems, and Sennheiser Wireless Systems
Post sound mix using Pro Tools
Help train new and existing personnel in the sound department and podcast department on our production and post-production practices
Coordinate with Sound Supervisor to create troubleshooting guides for various sound systems across the company, and train personnel outside of the sound department on them
Prepare Pro Tools projects for large episodes when necessary
Coordinate with the Sound Supervisor on sound design tasks
Keep track of ongoing & future productions, identifying problems, and brainstorming solutions to those problems
Work with the sound department to help develop and evolve the current workflow, incorporating new approaches and emerging technologies
Maintain production audio gear to ensure all gear is functioning, and that there is a healthy supply of consumables for upcoming productions

Required Skills:
3 years experience in a sound related field
Prior on-location production sound experience
Proficient in Pro Tools software
Experience working with Wireless Microphone Systems
Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
Thorough understanding of the pre-production, production, and post-production processes
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented
Excellent work ethic, self-starting, and a positive, can-do attitude
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Thorough understanding of Google Suite of apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, GMail, Forms and Calendar), as well as being overall tech savvy
Works well with others, collaborating on projects, and supporting teammates in times of need
Ability to wear 20lbs of gear and stand for an 8 - 10 hour shoot
Climb ladders and work with microphones in a lighting grid

Dante Certification
Experience with live mixing
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition
Experience with Yamaha QL1 or similar mixing console
Experience with Lectrosonics and Sennheiser wireless systems
Experience with Sound Devices and Zoom Audio Recorders
