Head of Physical Production

Mythical Entertainment seeks an experienced, resourceful, solution-oriented Head of Physical Production to lead production immediately for a new half-hour version of the most popular daily show on the Internet, Good Mythical Morning, and potentially future large serial and feature-length projects.

The Head of Physical Production will report directly to the SVP of Production & Development and will manage the day-to-day production, post-production, and delivery of major projects, adhering to all contractual requirements. Specific responsibilities include: coordinating the creation and management of production budgets and schedules, hiring key production personnel on each project, and acting as liaison between Mythical and studio/broadcast executives on all production matters outside of creative.

The Head of Physical Production will also be asked to advise Mythical on the creation of needed in-house production services, including accounting and legal (both are currently handled by external teams), and as such should have expertise in managing union negotiations and contracts (IATSE, Teamsters, DGA, WGA, SAG/AFTRA) alongside union counsel and in administering union/guild fringe payments alongside payroll companies.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience (5+ at a senior role) in daily talk show production, preferably on basic cable or syndicated / stripped broadcast shows (given lower TV/New Media budget).
