Intern - Film Distribution

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Our Interns work directly with the Home Entertainment, Theatrical and Marketing Teams in a variety of responsibilities to help promote our films. Interns will learn the daily operations of film distribution, acquisition, marketing, festival publicity and strategy.

Internship Qualifications:
• Must be a current college student receiving college credit.
• You must be a management, marketing, PR, advertising, communications, film & video, or entertainment major.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills: planning and project management, detail and results oriented and ability to meet deadlines.
• Interpersonal skills: must be able to work independently or collaboratively as needed, have creativity and a willingness to learn and try new things.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, Google docs. Experience in graphic design is a plus.
• Enthusiastic and passionate lover of film.
• Available to work 2 - 3 days a week- Monday through Friday 10am-5pm.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Grassroots marketing research and outreach in theatrical markets.
• Disseminate promotional materials to press, publicists and exhibitors.
• Research projects, data compiling and report updating from various departments.
• Assistance with marketing, DVD production and acquisitions as needed.
• Research, write and edit communications materials including blogs and social media content.
• Update website with new film information.
• Assist with events and screenings at the Music Box Theatre as needed.
• Special event support.
