Murdle Social Media Editor

This is a Part Time Job

We're hiring a creative, trend-aware Social Media Editor to support a bestselling author and puzzle book brand, Murdle.

This is an end-to-end role: you'll pitch, shoot, edit, and post short-form content, primarily for TikTok and Instagram on the @MurdleMysteries account. We have not regularly posted videos, so you would play a major role in developing our style and social presence.

This will be four hours a day, five days a week. You will work directly with the author and his assistant, including filming in Los Feliz once per week. Other than this one-day-a-week, the job will be remote. However, ideally you will work from noon to four, Monday-Friday, so that we can coordinate any necessary posts or meetings.

Responsibilities
• Develop and pitch video concepts based on current trends
• Produce and post 2 short-form videos per week (TikTok / Instagram Reels)
• Handle full workflow: concept - filming - editing - posting
• Monitor/respond to comments for a limited time daily
• Stay current on BookTok / Bookstagram trends

Requirements
• Based in Los Angeles
• Able to travel to Los Feliz weekly to film with the author
• Experience creating short-form video (portfolio or links required!)
• Familiar with BookTok / Bookstagram culture
• Able to independently create videos end-to-end
