Internship Overview
Mucho Mas Media is seeking driven Development Interns / Script Readers to join our film team and gain firsthand experience in the creative side of film development. Interns will read and evaluate scripts, books, and other material currently being considered in the marketplace while working closely with our development team. This is a great opportunity to sharpen story instincts and learn how projects are identified, shaped, and positioned for studios, financiers, and distributors. We are committed to mentoring emerging talent and helping interns build a strong foundation for a career in film!
Responsibilities
• Read and analyze incoming scripts, books, plays, and other source material.
• Write clear, concise script coverage and project analysis.
• Typical workload includes 1-3 scripts per week, with occasional book coverage.
• Conduct research on industry trends, talent, IP, and comparable projects.
• Assist the development team with light administrative support as needed.
• Participate in discussions about project evaluation and development strategy.
Qualifications
• Prior experience with script coverage or story analysis is preferred.
• If you do not have coverage experience, story analysis may be assessed during the interview process.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Dropbox.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
