Full Time Job
MTV is seeking a creative and high energy Senior Manager of Digital Strategy & Fan Engagement to manage and oversee social across platforms for a select set of MTV shows. This candidate will oversee and help to create groundbreaking social content that drives awareness and engagement for the shows. Collaborating with on-air production, programming, brand creative, talent, press, they will represent the team day in and day out. Specific responsibilities Include:
• Develop a social media strategy that engages viewers and grows new audiences
• Manage social media coordinator
• Oversee daily posting and engagement across social channels for assigned daily show and projects
• Create highly sharable social experiences to grow engagement
• Collaborate with on-air team and brand creative marketing team
• Participate in special projects, pitch fresh ideas, and assist senior editors as needed
• Grow assigned show's presence across platforms
• Work closely with talent to capture content for social platforms
• Work closely with integrated marketing team to execute branded partnerships
• Collaborate with digital team to bring extensions of show to life across platforms
• Work closely with Brand social team to oversee high show presence across MTV's brand accounts
• Working closely with Brand Creative team on overseeing creation and execution of design materials for show pages and postings, in line with show look
Basic Qualifications
• 4 years of digital/social creative experience, preferably within a production setting
Additional Qualifications
• Large interest in pop-culture with knowledge in MTV and what's trending
• Proven track record of executing creative ideas into successful social media projects
• A deep understanding of all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Musical.ly and YouTube (and other emerging platforms)
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills, ability to create a voice for a show/brand
• Strong knowledge of and personal connection to MTV brand and franchises
• Relevant experience working on production/television and/or on-air live events
• Working knowledge of Photoshop and video editing skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours as show airs late afternoon and may include post-show needs
