Full Time Job
Viacom is looking for a Media Manager, Editorial Post-Production Operations who will own the day-to-day media needs of production teams across all Viacom networks. You will join a team that encourages teamwork and efficiency in delivering the right solution to a variety of internal customers, from MTV to Comedy Central.
Responsibilities
include:
• Pre-Production planning with various teams for media planning, specs, transfer, edit prep, and staffing needs
• Evaluation and Ingest of digital assets into the post-production ecosystem while dynamically apply relevant metadata
• Distribution of assets to internal and/or external partners and productions
• Development of groundbreaking media workflows involving Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and automated processes
• Monitor and carry out standard methodologies and policies on internal production storage
• Planning for Wrap projects and assets to prep and submit for archive
• Troubleshoot editorial session tech issues and collaborate with Operations, Scheduling, and Technology teams on resolutions
• Provide general editorial support with knowledge of supporting systems for PAM, DAM, MAM, Review and Approval
• Provide training and insight on Viacom systems and workflows as part of new client onboarding process
Basic Qualifications
• 3-5 years media management or assistant editor experience
Additional Qualifications
• You have strong interpersonal skills with phenomenal attention to detail
• You can demonstrate a high quality of accuracy and efficiency
• You should be an excellent teammate who can also work independently
• Working knowledge of Avid and Adobe Premiere
• You have knowledge of different file formats, transcoding/encoding, video storage and data transfer systems
• You have knowledge of asset management systems
• Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and prioritize under pressure
• Flexible to work non-traditional hours, weekends and possible holidays
