Full Time Job
The Director will serve as the main-liaison on behalf of internal Development groups ensuring all development-related deals for both unscripted and scripted projects are strategically aligned with brand objectives. The Director will be required to leverage key relationships with agents and managers representing content creators and talent to provide recommendations to the Development groups.
Included Brands: MTV Studio, MTV, VH1, CMT and LOGO
Major Responsibilities:
• Submit Deal Request Forms (DRFs) to Business and Legal Affairs (BALA) on behalf of Development and Production across all brands
• Serve as a key-liaison between internal Development groups for unscripted/scripted content across all brands and BALA; ensuring business deal terms reflect network objectives
• Cultivate external business relationships with agencies and management representing production companies, executive producers, writers and talent on behalf of Development
• Draft comprehensive summaries of development/production-related agreements as a general resource for Development and Production executives
• Maintain heavily detailed, on-going charts outlining deal terms for projects (including option pick-ups) across all brands
• Facilitate all title clearance request across all brands; specifically expediting all requests, results distribution and act as a general liaison between Development/Production groups and IP/Lit
• Create insightful presentations that summarize analysis and influence decision-making on development strategies across all brands
• Prepare analyses to support the exploitation of Viacom IP library across multiple platforms
• Conduct market research, track and compile industry trends and competitive analysis
Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS degree required
• 5 years of overall work experience within the media/entertainment industry required
• Talent agency experience preferred in either scripted and/or unscripted

• Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to anticipate, prioritize and fulfill multiple tasks with an acute attention to detail and deadlines
• Proven ability to act independently in day-to-day activities with exemplary problem-solving skills under aggressive requirements and timelines
