Director, Robotics Process Automation (“RPA”)

Viacom is seeking a Director Robotics Process Automation (RPA) for our Process Excellence with Enabling Technologies (PEET) Center of Excellence reporting in the SVP Business Transformation. The Director is responsible for supporting the execution and development of process automation solutions by managing program activities, governance processes, metrics and measurement to ensure best in class approach to solutions delivery.
Responsibilities
include:
• Understanding our current state needs and requirements for the implementation of Process Automation as part of the broader Business Transformation strategy
• Collaborate with developers and business partners to drive the delivery of RPA solutions and Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI/ML solutions
• Consult and advise senior leaders on best practices and methodologies for Process Automation
• Engage Business Stakeholders on developing strategies and roadmaps
• Work with business partners on understanding and defining current processes and identifying opportunities for efficiencies both from a process and technology perspective
• Be a Trusted Partner with Viacom functions that have automations in process or in the pipeline
• Responsible for establishing, refining and enforcing governance processes, policies and reporting related to governance and oversight of the global portfolio of projects
• Ensure project processes are aligned to the organizational annual strategic planning process
• Define, manage, direct the daily execution of the project work effort
• Partner with Business and Finance teams to understand and determine resource needs and capacity planning
• Provide input into Business cases and realization of expected proposed project benefits/ROI
• Work with reporting team to ensure project data analytics are built to sufficiently give insight into compliance with standards, overall project performance and coaching assignments
• Cultivate professional relationships with key organizational leaders, based on trust and respect and act as a change champion
• Create organizational credibility with respect to all project deliverables and process efficiencies by instilling the culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability for outcomes
• Identify and prioritize organizational opportunities based on capacity data
• Provide leadership in terms of evaluating and reporting coaching metrics to continually drive and measure quality
• Apply risk management assessment in project planning / ongoing execution and resolves issues and conflicts associated with management of multiple complex high-priority projects
• Hand-over to MTS (media technology services) when identified automation projects enter requirements and ultimate technology solutions phase. Track implementation
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years project management experience including management of large complex projects with multi-million dollar budgets and large teams of resources
• Minimum 4 years of experience delivering Software related technologies
• Minimum 2 years of experience in scaling Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Solutions, features, and functionalities
• Minimum 2 years of RPA COE experience
• Extensive Knowledge on and implementation experience in Process Automation Ecosystem
• Exceptional analytical and project leadership skills
• Strong facilitation skills
• Stong knowledge of Excel and highly skilled in PowerPoint and Microsoft Visio
• Knowledge of Workfront, Confluence, Jira, Excel and other Project Management Software Tools a plus

• CSM/CSPO preferred
• Ability to identify opportunities in existing processes that needs improvement or automation
• Demonstrate previous experience in identifying issues and turning them into opportunities
• Hands on implementations with RPA related technologies, such as Automation Anywhere, UIPath, Workfusion, or Contextor
• Experience in managing a cross-discipline team and working in a highly matrix environment across many different businesses and IT leadership in an environment of competing interests and limited resources
• Consultative and Client management expertise with the capability to navigate complex environments
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to work with all levels of leadership, management and staff, both business and technical, as well as customers and vendors
• Proven ability to lead and work through others without direct reporting relationship to achieve business goals utilizing persuasion and influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to explain technical concepts in a easily understood manner
• Keen interest in business operations, process improvement, and change impact
