WHO YOU ARE

MTV is looking for an experienced Assistant Producer to work across our Official Charts portfolio. Applicants must have a proven track record in music / entertainment programming and demonstrate strong editorial and organizational skills. You will be an expert in scriptwriting and storytelling; experienced in producing packages in edit; and are used to working on fast turnaround shows with extremely tight delivery deadlines. You will possess an encyclopaedic knowledge of the UK charts, celebrity and popular culture.

We're looking to have our new Assistant Producer start with us early April.

YOU WILL
• Write scripts, ensuring content is accurate & engaging to MTV core audience.
• Oversee edits / edit producing & ensuring all offline edits are submitted to the Charts Producer for editorial feedback & sign-off.
• Liaise with Production Management, re: the booking of presenter v/o sessions.
• When instructed, act as lead Production person when recording with Talent.
• Liaise with the Official Charts Company to ensure data is delivered as specified / requested.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure programmes are delivered as briefed.
• Liaise with Charts Producer & Researcher to ensure the completion of all necessary paperwork at the point of programme delivery.
• Be a pro-active creative voice in editorial and forward planning meetings.
• Continually evaluate existing content and develop new format / strand ideas.
