Digital Platforms Producer
Location: New York City or Washington, D.C. (Hybrid)

Position Overview:
MSNBC Digital is seeking a Digital Platforms Producer to manage content across the homepage, app, newsletters, and social media channels. The producer will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and engagement with content across platforms, including writing headlines, creating graphics, and managing social media posts. The role requires experience in political writing, strong news judgment, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:
• Write and test eye-catching headlines to drive engagement.
• Write and send app alerts.
• Produce and manage MSNBC’s marquee newsletters.
• Produce and maintain the MSNBC homepage.
• Create shareable news content for social media platforms.
• Fact-check content to ensure quality and adherence to MSNBC’s journalistic standards.
• Create graphics and photo posts for Instagram using tools like Figma and Adobe Photoshop.
• Collaborate with show producers, writers, and contributors on daily editorial content.
• Assist with strategic social rollouts for high-profile interviews and special events.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a digital newsroom, including 4 years of political producing and writing.
• Expertise in social media platforms and trends.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, CapCut, and other editing tools.
• Experience producing graphics and turning breaking news into vertical content.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
