Vice President, Studio Core Technology
Location: Burbank, CA (Hybrid)
MSG is looking for a Vice President to lead the Studio Core Technology department, responsible for content delivery on the MSG Sphere projects. This position oversees the studio content creation technology infrastructure for the largest LED screens ever made, ensuring efficient project management and technical support across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead technical projects to align with organizational goals, including the evaluation and implementation of new systems and products. //
• Manage deliverables and deadlines for studio technology infrastructure projects, including specification, deployment, and maintenance.
• Oversee processes for tracking and reporting performance to internal and external partners.
• Balance short-term solutions with long-term pipeline and infrastructure technology.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to integrate feedback into system development.
• Generate status reports, project proposals, financial budget reports, and executive overviews.
• Lead a large team, making staffing decisions to support studio systems and artist needs.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on global platform policies and technical guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure for a post-production studio or animation facility.
• At least 5 years of experience in a technology leadership role, leading teams across multiple disciplines.
• Strong technical knowledge in automation, ingest tools, data management, VFX asset creation, rendering, and cloud processing.
• Ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining team cohesion.
