This is a Full Time Job
This position supports MSG Sports Accounting department in day-to-day operations, as well as monthly and quarterly accounting close for Tickets & Premium Hospitality. Responsibilities also include, account analysis, journal entries, account reconciliations, and support for the Director. This role will prepare detailed balance sheet and income statement account analyses, as well as, assist with preparation of audit requests as directed.
What will you do?
• Assistance with ongoing Tickets & Premium Hospitality accounting activities which include, but are not limited to:
• Point of contact with MSGE to ensure appropriate Box Office detail is provided to reconcile and record various journal entries relating to MSG Sports ticket revenue.
• Preparation and submission of the monthly and quarterly prompt tax payments
• Review of Suites Event Audits and maintain Single Event Suites revenue reports for MSG Live and Sports Properties
• Assistance with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities which include, but are not limited to:
• Preparation and recording of certain required journal entries
• Preparation and analysis of balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assistance with adhoc requests and special projects as required
What do you need to succeed?
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• Proficient in Excel spreadsheet modeling along with all MS Office platforms (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
• Ability to interact with cross functional groups
• Quantitative & analytical skills for areas of responsibility
• Ability to be flexible, work under pressure and meet deadlines, work within a team environment and company culture, and willingness to work extended workhours as needed
• Self-motivated, self-starter, committed, and ability to manage many projects to achieve objectives
• Effective written and oral communications skills
• CPA a plus

$57,000 — $80,000 USD
