This is a Full Time Job
The Director, Government Affairs & Social Impact, will report to the EVP, Government Affairs and Social Impact and support Sphere's regulatory and legislative policy agenda in Clark County, Nevada. You will work collaboratively with members of all departments within the company to ensure that appropriate actions are taken on key governmental and community engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will have established relationships and vast advocacy and community engagement experience in Clark County. Further, the successful candidate will have the ability to build and nurture productive relationships with elected leaders, government officials and related staff, as well as with local community leaders in Clark County.
What will you do?
• Support EVP to develop action plans and legislative/regulatory solutions for issues impacting company projects.
• Develop strong relationships with Nevada and Clark County officials, agencies, and relevant staff.
• Analyze legislation and coordinate with internal stakeholders to address problematic provisions.
• Participate in meetings and events of trade associations and other relevant organizations.
• Assist EVP in communicating to internal stakeholders by preparing regular reports, briefings and assorted written work product.
• Aid in the operational and community impact planning for Las Vegas/Clark County major events at Sphere requiring partnership and logistical needs.
• Conduct routine community and stakeholder wellness assessments requiring accurate representation of Sphere's interests.
• Support and assist with Sphere's social impact initiatives as needed.
What do you need to succeed?
• Minimum 10 years relevant government affairs and/or community engagement experience in Clark County, Nevada.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable in public speaking roles.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and re-prioritize assignments as needed.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team context.
• Proactive and motivated to deliver key business objectives.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
• Proven track record of adding value in all assignments.
• Intimate familiarity with Clark County, Nevada politics.

Pay Range
$113,000 — $160,000 USD
